Tell us what you need to say.
Not what it should look like, or how long it should be. Start with what has to change once someone has watched it, and the rest follows.
Send us the beginnings of a brief.
A few lines is plenty. Messages go straight to Matty.
What happens next
- We replyUsually with a question or two, because the brief is where films are won or lost.
- A conversationTwenty minutes on the phone, or in a room if you are nearby. No charge, no pitch theatre.
- Something in writingAn idea, what it takes to make it, and a price, so you can weigh it up properly.
Things worth mentioning.
You do not need a script or a finished brief. If you have any of this to hand, it saves a round of emails.
- Who the film is for, and where they will watch it.
- What you want them to do, think or feel afterwards.
- Any date it has to be ready by.
- The budget you have, rather than asking us to guess at it.
- Anything you have already made that you liked, or did not.
Where we film
New York, Paris, Wigan. We go where the project is, and commission crews abroad when that beats the airfare.
Closer to home, we film all the time in Wigan, St Helens, Warrington, Liverpool and Manchester.
