Terms of Service

These terms cover the use of Aposs Archive ("the service", "we", "us") by the organisations and individual users we provide it to. By signing in or using the service, you and your organisation agree to them.

The service

Aposs Archive is a private, searchable video archive for organisations. Each organisation's footage, projects and users are kept in a separate, private archive. We don't make any archive public, and we don't share footage or account data between organisations.

Accounts and access

• Accounts are issued by an administrator, either your organisation's own admin or Aposs Archive staff. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
• Access to footage is restricted by role and by the organisation and projects you're assigned to. Client and freelancer accounts only see footage belonging to their own organisation.
• Tell your administrator promptly if you suspect your account has been accessed without authorisation.

Your footage

Footage you or your organisation upload remains your organisation's property. We store and process it so it can be searched, previewed and downloaded by people your organisation has given access to. We don't claim ownership of your footage, and we don't use it for any purpose other than providing the service to your organisation.

Your organisation is responsible for having the right to film, upload and keep any footage placed in the archive, including any consents needed for identifiable people, locations or third-party material.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload footage or material that:

• you don't have the right to film, use or store;
• is unlawful, or breaches someone else's rights, including privacy or data protection rights;
• you know to require a consent that hasn't been obtained.

We may suspend or remove access to material we reasonably believe breaches these terms, and may suspend accounts used to attempt to access footage or organisations outside their permitted scope.

Creative Recall™ and AI-generated content

Creative Recall™ uses an AI provider to draft titles, descriptions, tags and other metadata from uploaded footage. These drafts are a starting point, not a guarantee of accuracy — they can and should be reviewed and edited by your organisation before being relied on, particularly for anything related to consent, identifiable people, or sensitive subject matter.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available and to process uploads promptly, but the service is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Processing steps that depend on separate infrastructure (such as proxy and thumbnail generation, or footage-splitting) may take longer at times, or may need to be retried.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is". We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that can't lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending the service

Either your organisation or we may end use of the service at any time. If your organisation's use ends, we'll discuss with your organisation how footage is returned or deleted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
